Welcome back, balloon enthusiasts! As we enter 2024, I'm excited to share the steps I'm taking to propel my balloon business to new heights. Join me on this journey of focus, tracking, organization, and setting boundaries to achieve success in balloon artistry.
1. The Power of Focus: Choosing My Alignment Word for My Balloon Business
In 2023, I embraced the concept of choosing a guiding word for the year, thanks to the Bright Balloon podcast and the inspiring Sara Myer. My word was "relationships," while it led to some connections, I realized the importance of setting clear action steps. This year, I've crafted an alignment board outlining specific strategies to get on track with my guiding word. This year, my word is Order, and I prepared some action items this time to bring order to my life and within my balloon business.
2. Know your Numbers To grow your Numbers
Inspired by the incredible Bright Balloon podcast, I've adopted the Bright Balloon planner, a valuable tool for balloon artists. This planner helps break down yearly goals into actionable steps, allowing me to track social media growth and assess the effectiveness of my marketing efforts. Knowing your numbers is critical to growing your business; this planner has become an indispensable asset.

3. Get Organized – Organize Your Space to Organize Your Mind
Building on the ideas shared in my previous blog post, "The Big Chop," I emphasize the importance of controlling your inventory. A well-organized workspace contributes to a clear and focused mindset essential for successful balloon business management. 4. Setting Boundaries – The Power of No
Transitioning from community involvement to the balloon business brought both blessings and challenges. While I appreciate the support, setting boundaries is crucial, especially regarding mentorship. This year, I'm embracing the philosophy of investing in those who invest in themselves. Offering a mentorship at an affordable price reflects the value of the knowledge shared and encourages a commitment to growth from artists who come to me for FREE information. If you aren't willing to invest in yourself, then why should somebody else?
Additionally, setting business hours is paramount. Recognizing that time expands or contracts based on our perception, I'm determined to establish a realistic workweek to maximize productivity and maintain a healthy work-life balance.
As we embark on the journey of 2024, I invite you to join me in implementing these strategies for success in the balloon business. Whether you're a seasoned artist or just starting, focusing on your alignment, tracking your progress, getting organized, and setting boundaries can pave the way for a thriving balloon venture. Here's to a year of growth, creativity, and countless balloon-filled celebrations!
